4G is way faster than 3G. I just upgraded to Verizon Wireless 4G, using a USB modem on a laptop. In the video I run an internet speed test to see how fast the 4G from Verizon Wireless actually is. The download speed is really good, and the upload speed is slower. If you are on the internet watching videos and doing download-intensive things, it is about as fast as DSL. Uploading big files is kind of slow. I tried uploading this video (HD 930 MB) using Verizon 4G, but YouTube estimated it would take 120 minutes, so I stopped and used a fiber-optic connection to upload it. To install it on a PC or Mac computer, you install VZ Access Manager software, which runs the 4G modem and gets you connected to the internet. I’ve installed it on a Mac and a PC, and it is way faster than 3G and works with no problems. That’s my review of Verizon Wireless 4G service.
